Ever ask yourself, “Why don’t I ever take the time anymore to just horse around?”
I get so productive, so serious, so intentional–so often. I believe in the need for margin, or a time cushion, in our lives as to not burnout, nor give our loved-ones the leftovers, nor do slip-shoddy work. I’m wondering if play and laughter and vacations and hobbies and hanging out are all part of emotional margin. That our spirits that were wired by God long for levity along the journey of fulfilling the critical mission of showing Christ’s love to others.
So, when will you “schedule in” your version of horsin’ around, or when will you just let it happen?
